Concrete building survey
Seismic experts believe many reinforced concrete buildings designed before 1976 could fail in a large earthquake. Times reporters conducted block-by-block surveys in seven areas of Los Angeles. They recorded buildings that appeared to be concrete and examined archived building permits in an attempt to determine the building type. Click on the areas to see their findings.
