Freshman James Harden hit a three-pointer and two free throws in last seven seconds of overtime to lift Artesia in a Southern California Shootout game at Azusa Pacific University. Harden finished the game with 18 points. Sophomore Derek Glasser added 18 points and seven assists for the Pioneers (15-8) . Ayala is 18-6.

Brentwood 83, Campbell Hall 79 (OT)
Brandon Turner had 27 points, including two free throws in overtime, and 15 rebounds to lead Brentwood in an upset of Division IV-AA leader Campbell Hall at the Village Christian Gold Coast Conference Coaches Versus Cancer Classic. Brentwood tied the game, 74-74, with 34 seconds left in the fourth quarter after two consecutive three-point shots by guard Adam Howland, who is the son of UCLA men's basketball coach Ben Howland. He finished with 15 points and Eleby Washington added 22 points, including two free throws in overtime, and six assists for Eagles (16-6). Joe Ford of Campbell Hall (20-2) dominated the first half, scoring 22 of his 24 points in the first quarter, but fouled out in the fourth. Jason Heard also finished with 24 points for the Vikings, who led, 54-35, at halftime. Brentwood rallied in the second half, outscoring Campbell Hall, 48-25.

Joe Martinez had 15 points and eight rebounds and Pete Bond chipped in with 14 points to lead El Dorado (16-6). Colin Robinson had 27 points for Diamond Bar at Azusa Pacific University.

Junior point guard Kelvin Kim converted a three-point play with 1.9 seconds remaining to give the visiting Chargers a much-needed South Coast league victory.

Mission Viejo, ranked No. 16 in the Southland by The Times, took a 64-62 lead when Jed Collins made one of two free throws with 14.4 seconds left. The No. 17 Chargers opted not to call their final time out, instead Tyler Gottstein passed the ball to Kim at the top of the key, where he drove to the basket and was fouled.
