Andrew Sanders scored two goals and Alex Maida had one goal as the Cubs imnproved to 13-2-2 with the victory. Goalkeepers Tim Walter and Conor Harding combined for the shutout, Loyola’s 12th of the season.

Semifinals

Damien 2, Berkeley 1
Sean Jarvis scored his second goal of the game with a minute left in regulation to propel Damien (13-2-2) into the championship game against Servite on Monday at 3 p.m. Jarvis’ first goal came off an assist from Chukwudi Chijindu and gave Damien a 1-0 lead three minutes into the second half. Berkeley (12-3) tied the score on a penalty kick by sophomore Jesse Guerrero midway through the second half before Jarvis scored 19 minutes later off an assist from Vladimir Marroquin. Damien, the No. 10-ranked team in the Southland by The Times, defeated La Mirada, 2-0, in its final pool play game in the morning. Chukwudi scored at the 31-minute mark and teammate Mark Moreno tallied another goal 30 minutes later.

Servite 2, Loyola 0
Nick Chavez and Logan Nicks each scored a goal for Servite as the Friars (12-5-1) won their fifth consecutive game while snapping No. 6 Loyola’s winning streak at nine. Servite, which was decimated by illness and injuries for the first two weeks of the season, took a 1-0 lead by Chavez late in the first half. The Friars extended their advantage to 2-0 when Nicks’ shot got past Loyola goalkeeper Tim Walter after it was deflected by a defender. Servite defeated Reedley, 3-1, in a pool play game in the morning. Ray Thagard scored two goals for the Friars in that game and Luke Terry had one. Thagard missed the first 11 games of the season with a broken tailbone, but he has scored four goals in four tournament games.

Kyle Graham and Carlos Hernandez each scored and Pratisch Patel made seven saves to record his second shutout for host San Clemente (5-6). In the 55th minute, a defender deflected the ball into his own goal for Edison (12-1), ranked No. 9 by The Times.

Adrian Lopez scored off an assist from Richard Flores in the 23rd minute for Animo (10-2-3). Masahiro Kaneda scored the tying goal in the 78th minute off an assist by Brett Bannon for host South Torrance (6-2-4).

Eric Fournier had one goal for Loyola (9-1-2), which recorded its eighth shoutout of the season. Bell Gardens is 5-3-2.

South Torrance 10, Lawndale 1
Senior forward Masahiro Kaneda scored six goals for host South Torrance (6-2-3), tying the school record for goals in a game set by Rick Biedler in 1987. Kaneda, who has 13 goals this season, scored five goals in the second half, including three in a two-minute span. Lawndale is 0-2-0.
