BASELINE LEAGUE

Upland 3, Rancho Cucamonga 1
Visiting Upland (18-3-3, 8-1-1) scored two goals in the final 10 minutes of play after Rancho Cucamonga had tied the score, 1-1, on a goal by Lorenzo Loson 10 minutes into the second half. Upland took a 2-1 lead on a goal by Jared Karkas and the Highlanders scored seven minutes later on a goal by Jon Tinjaca. Upland, which clinched its first league title since 2000 with a victory against Etiwanda on Wednesday, took a 1-0 lead when Jon Gunsur scored 10 minutes into the game. Rancho Cucamonga (16-3-4, 4-2-4), the top-ranked team in the Southland by The Times earlier this season, finished third in the league standings.

CHRISTIAN LEAGUE

Ontario Christian 4, Arrowhead Christian 0
Brent VanderEyk had three goals and one assist for visiting Ontario Christian (15-5-3, 7-0-1), which won its third straight the league title. Arrowhead Christian is 5-2-1.

Froylan Marin scored during the second 10-minute overtime period to lift visiting Katella (11-4-3, 5-2-3), which clinched third place and a playoff spot. Kennedy is 12-8-2, 6-3-1 and finished in second place.

GOLDEN LEAGUE

Highland 4, Lancaster 2
Nick Nikiquet, Chad Borak, Robbie Gonzalez and Gus Alvarez each scored for third-place Highland (11-8-4, 6-3-1), which overcame a 2-0 deficit. Warren Sconiers and Justin Keeney scored in the first half for visiting Lancaster (3-6-1 in league).

Palmdale 0, Quartz Hill 0
John Vedin had seven saves for his ninth shutout for host Palmdale (20-6-5, 7-1-2). The tie gave Palmdale its first Golden League title since the 1995-96 season. Michael Davis had seven saves for Quartz Hill (14-6-1, 7-2-1).

MOORE LEAGUE

Lakewood 0, Long Beach Poly 0
Goalkeeper Nate Smith had five saves, including one from point-blank range with two minutes left, to help Poly (14-4-3, 8-2-2) clinch a share of the league championship with Long Beach Cabrillo. The shutout was the sixth in 11 league games for Smith, who allowed one goal in each of the other five games. Although Poly will share the league title with Cabrillo, the Jackrabbits will be the league’s No. 1 entry in the Division I playoffs because they beat Cabrillo, 1-0, and, 2-1, in league play. Lakewood (12-8-3, 5-4-3) finished the season in fifth place in the league standings.

SUBURBAN LEAGUE

Mayfair 2, Bellflower 0 (OT)
Michael Nieraeth scored twice in overtime to lift Mayfair (10-6-5, 5-3-4), which clinched a playoff spot. Bellflower is 10-9-3, 5-5-2.

Zack Milder scored the game’s only goal on an assist from Julian Smith-Newman for Sage Hill (11-5, 9-1), which got seven saves from goalie Cesar Arriaga. Oxford Academy is 8-6-3, 5-4-1.

Max Solomon scored two goals to lead host St. Margaret’s (14-5-2, 9-1-0), which had eight different scorers. Whitney drops to 2-10-1, 2-7-1.

Victor Romero scored both goals for host Palm Springs (8-7-5, 3-6-2). Cathedral City (10-10-3, 6-5-1) scored three goals in a seven-minute span of the second half.

MARMONTE LEAGUE

Israel Higuera scored on a indirect free kick from about 10 yards away to break a scoreless tie midway through the second half. The victory put Westlake (15-7-2, 10-3-1) in a tie for third place with Calabasas in the league standings, but the Warriors will be the league’s No. 3 entry in the Division II playoffs because they were 1-0-1 against Calabasas this season. Royal (20-2-4, 10-1-3) dropped into a tie for first with Thousand Oaks, but will be the league’s No. 2 entry in the playoffs because Thousand Oaks had a better record against Westlake (2-0) than Royal (1-1) in league. Royal and Thousand Oaks tied, 2-2, and, 1-1, in league play.

MIRAMONTE LEAGUE

Los Altos 4, Hacienda Heights Wilson 1
Juan Padilla had a goal and three assists for Los Altos (9-9-3, 4-3-1).

Kasey Dunn scored the tying goal, assisted by Daniel Chiose, in the 62nd minute and Choise kicked in the game-winner off a pass from Dunn in 74th minute to lead host Capistrano Valley (18-6-4, 6-0-4). El Toro is 11-6-6, 3-3-4. Both teams qualified for the CIF playoffs.

The victory gave visiting Saddleback, the No. 4-ranked team in the Southland by The Times, a 12-game unbeaten streak to conclude the regular season. The Roadrunners (22-2-1, 10-1-1) are 11-0-1 since a 3-0 loss to Edison in the quarterfinals of the Trabuco Hills tournament in December.

Calabasas (16-4-5, 9-2-3) recorded its 13th shutout of the year. Moorpark falls to 4-10 in league.

Royal 1, Newbury Park 0
Visiting Royal (20-1-4, 10-0-3) clinched a share of its first league title since the 1999-2000 season with the victory, but the top-ranked team in the Southland by The Times continued to sputter against less-talented opponents in league play. Royal, which is 15-0-2 since a 2-0 loss to Aliso Niguel in the South Torrance tournament in December, scored in the second minute of play on a goal by Graydon Pearson. But the Highlanders failed to score again against a Newbury Park team that finished the season at 5-14-1, 1-12-1.

Thousand Oaks 4, Agoura 2
Diego Barrera had two goals and Jason Leopoldo and Josh Underwood each had a goal to lead visiting Thousand Oaks (22-3-3, 10-1-3).

Westlake 3, Simi Valley 0
Israel Higuera had a goal and an assist and Adam Markowitz and John Skelly each had a goal to lead host Westlake (14-7-1, 9-3-1) past Simi Valley (1-12-4, 1-9-2). Westlake recorded its 10th shutout of the year and plays a makeup game Thursday at home against Royal.

MISSION LEAGUE

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 2, Loyola 0
Loyola’s upset loss at Notre Dame cost the Cubs a share of the league title and the league’s No. 1 seeding in the Southern Section Division II playoffs. Loyola (22-4-3, 9-2-1) entered the game with the same league record as St. Francis, but would have been the league’s top entry in the playoffs with a victory because it was 1-0-1 against St. Francis in league play. Notre Dame (10-2-1, 6-6), which suffered a 4-1 loss to Loyola in the first round of league play, finished fourth in the seven-team league.

St. Francis 4, Harvard-Westlake 2
Chris Hertz scored three goals to lead St. Francis (22-5-1, 10-1-1), which clinched the league championship.

MOORE LEAGUE

Long Beach Poly 2, Long Beach Cabrillo 1
Matthew Kromminga headed in a pass from Alex Tocco with six minutes left in the game to cap Poly’s come-from-behind victory that moved the Jackrabbits (14-4-2, 8-2-1) into first place in the league standings with one game left in the regular season. Poly can clinch its second league title-and first since 1999--with a victory at Lakewood on Friday.

The Jackrabbits tied the score, 1-1, at the 63-minute mark against Cabrillo when Elder Aguilera headed in Tocco pass. Cabrillo (20-4-1, 8-3), which could have clinched its first league title in any sport with a victory, took a 1-0 lead five minutes into the second half when Freddy Tapia got past two defenders and tapped a right-footed shot past onrushing goalkeeper Nate Smith.

Tapia was issued a red card late in the game after he tackled Poly’s Tomer Knoweiki from behind. As a result, he will have to sit out Cabrillo’s regular-season finale against Compton on Thursday.

Masahiro Kaneda scored in the 12th minute and Ricky Gomez scored on a header off of a corner kick in the 25th minute for host South Torrance (15-3-7, 9-1-3), which clinched a share of the league title. North Torrance is 4-14-1, 2-11.

Greg Cibrian had two goals and two assists and Danny Martinez and Jon Parkinson each added a goal for host Temecula (13-7-3, 5-2-1), which led 2-1 at halftime. Cibrian’s assists gave him 19 for the season, tying the school single-season record set by Tony Emilio in 1991. Diego Collazos scored both goals for Rancho Verde (5-11-4, 0-4-3).

SUNSET LEAGUE

Steven Lenhart, Adam Hill, B.J. Pugmire and Timmy Jepson each scored and Justin Etherton had five saves for host No. 5 Esperanza (20-4-2, 6-3-1). Los Alamitos is 4-6 in league. The victory gave Esperanza a tie for second in the league standings with Fountain Valley, but the Aztecs will enter the Southern Section Division I playoffs as the league’s No. 3 entry because they had an 0-1-1 record against Fountain Valley in league play.

Sean Keeley scored in 57th minute on a penalty kick and Trent Painter had five saves for his seventh shutout for host Fountain Valley (17-4-3, 6-3-1), which clinched second place in the league. Edison (20-2, 9-1), ranked No. 3 by The Times, won the league championship.

Thousand Oaks 1, Royal 1
Royal took a big step toward winning its first league title since the 1999-2000 season with the tie against visiting Thousand Oaks. Royal (19-1-4, 9-0-3), the top-ranked team in the Southland by The Times, and No. 7 Thousand Oaks (21-3-3, 9-1-3) are tied for first in the standings with 21 points. But Royal can win the title outright with victories at Newbury Park on Wednesday and at Westlake Village Westlake on Friday. Thousand Oaks, the defending league champion, took a 1-0 lead 16 minutes into Monday’s game when Dylan Riley headed in a corner kick from Diego Barrera for his 12th goal of the season and ninth in league play. Royal tied the score 19 minutes later when Kyle Taylor headed in a pass from Jose Medina for his third goal. The teams tied, 2-2, in the first round of league play.

Israel Higuera scored for host Westlake (13-7-2, 8-3-1). Warren Doyle scored for Calabasas (15-4-5, 8-2-3).

Loyola 9, Alemany 0
Patrick Morrison scored two goals to lead host Loyola (22-3-3, 9-1-1), which has 16 shutouts this season. Senior Steve Sanchez had his first goal of the season for Loyola, which had eight different goal scorers. The Cubs led, 4-0, at halftime. Alemany is 0-12 in league.

St. Francis 4, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 0
Jeff Buddenbohn had two goals to lead St. Francis (21-5-1, 9-1-1). Notre Dame is 9-12-1, 5-6.

OCEAN LEAGUE

South Torrance 5, Hawthorne 0
Masahiro Kaneda had one goal and two assists and Manjiro Tsunekuni added a goal and an assist to lead South Torrance (14-3-7, 8-1-3) over host Hawthorne (7-8-1, 5-7).

Torrance 5, Beverly Hills 1 (OT)
Hector De la Cruz, Daniel Torres, Robert Fuentes and Salvador Zelaya each scored in overtime for host Torrance (16-5-3, 10-2), which clinched at least a share of the Ocean League title. Takuro Tokioka scored in the 15th minute to give Torrance the early lead, but Josh Sanchez from Beverly Hills answered in the 72nd minute with a 20-yard half-volley shot, the Normans’ first shot on goal of the game, to tie the score. Beverly Hills is 5-14-4, 2-8-2.

John Hwang scored two goals to lead visiting Fairmont Prep (8-2-2, 6-0). St. Michael’s Prep is 1-5-1 in league.

Chukwudi Chijindu and Kenny Horn each scored two goals to lead No. 2 Damien (23-2-2, 9-0) over visiting Glendora (12-11-3, 2-6-1).
