Friday, Feb. 27

CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION

Narbonne 50, Fairfax 28
Leading by only four points at halftime, the top-seeded Gauchos (19-7) limited Fairfax (23-4) to 11 points with a pressure man-to-man defense in the second half en route to the semifinal victory.

Camille LeNoir scored 17 points and Sherriel Boyd added 14 for four-time defending City champion Narbonne. Chari Smith scored 12 points in the first half for Fairfax, but went scoreless in the second half.

The Gauchos play the winner of Sylmar-Crenshaw at 5 p.m. next Saturday, March 6, at the Sports Arena in the City Championship final.

Crenshaw 58, Sylmar 44
Lynea Williams had 16 points, 11 rebounds, five steals and three assists to lead host second-seeded Crenshaw (27-1) over third-seeded Sylmar (17-7).

INVITATIONAL DIVISION

Gardena 64, Venice 55
Tricia Tokubo had 13 points for host Gardena (15-9), which will plays Jefferson on March 6 at the Sports Arena. Chelsea Fujitaki had 22 points for Venice (12-15).

Jefferson 58, L.A. Hamilton 52
Julie Legardye had 13 points, including two free throws in the final 23 seconds, and 15 rebounds to lead host Jefferson (14-10). Tena Flores added 13 points and nine rebounds, Dominique Carter had 13 points and seven assists and Daerrian Scott had eight points and 13 rebounds for Jefferson. Rochelle Defrante scored 27 points for L.A. Hamilton. Jefferson will play Gardena on Saturday, March 6, at 11 p.m. at the Sports Arena for the Invitational Championship.

Quarterfinals

CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION

Crenshaw 55, Chatsworth 43
Brittany Sheppard scored 15 points for second-seeded Crenshaw (26-1), which won its 25th consecutive game. Tanika Lowe scored eight points for seventh-seeded Chatsworth (16-7), which trailed, 30-23, at halftime.

Narbonne 68, Fremont 46
Camille LeNoir had 18 points for host and top-seeded Narbonne (18-7), which will play Fairfax Friday. Fremont is 14-6.

Sylmar 58, Carson 47
Eja Wong scored 14 points and hit four three-pointers for third-seeded Sylmar (17-6), which led, 31-24, at halftime. Chinyere Ibekwe had 23 points and 31 rebounds for Carson (16-7).

INVITATIONAL DIVISION

Venice 51, Washington 42
Chelsea Fujitaki scored 20 points and Erin Morioka added 17 for visiting Venice (12-14).

Chari Smith had 15 points and 13 rebounds Brittany Henderson tallied 16 points, eight rebounds, five steals and three blocks to lead host Fairfax (23-3). Los Angeles is 22-4.

INVITATIONAL DIVISION

Jefferson 58, Garfield 54
Tena Flores had 27 points and nine rebounds, Dominique Carter had 13 points and 10 assists and Julie Ledardye added 10 points and 15 rebounds for visiting Jefferson (14-10), which hosts on Hamilton Friday. Julie Bracamontes scored 19 points for Garfield (8-7).

L.A. Hamilton 55, Dorsey 51
Rachel DeFrance scored 17 points and Dominique Reynolds had 16 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks to lead L.A. Hamilton (13-14). Tiesha Hughes had 19 points for host Dorsey (16-11).
