Simple wooden crosses stand on top of a mass grave for some of the victims of the 1994 Rwandan genocide at Nyanza, in Rwanda. The UN was sheltering about 2,000 people at Ecole Technique de Murambi, just up the road from this location, when the UN pulled out of Rwanda. The victims where then taken to this location and killed by the perpetuators of the genocide.
