Forward Malik Martin will transfer from USC
USC forward Malik Martin will transfer from the program, Martin confirmed Wednesday.
Martin averaged 6.6 minutes per game for the Trojans this season, scoring an average of 1.8 points.
USC’s youth-laden team, which is not expected to send a player to the NBA draft, has created a logjam of players. USC is expected to return all five starters and will bring in a three-man recruiting class. Shaqquan Aaron, a transfer from Louisville, will also be eligible to play next season.
Martin, a sophomore from Miami, will have two seasons of eligibility remaining after he sits out a season as a redshirt.
USC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
