Adrian Gonzalez earned the distinction of hitting home runs on consecutive days —in the same game.

The Dodgers and Washington Nationals on Saturday played the last four innings of a game that was suspended Friday night, with the Nationals claiming a 5-3 victory on a two-run, pinch-hit home run in the eighth inning by Matt den Dekker.

Right-hander Pedro Baez served up the decisive home run.

The Dodgers won the later game, 4-2.

The game was suspended Friday night because a bank of lights down the left-field line was shut off.

The Dodgers were down, 3-2, in the top of the sixth inning when play resumed.

Two batters into the inning, Gonzalez hit a home run against reliever Tanner Roark to tie the score, 3-3.

Gonzalez hit a home run in the fourth inning Friday.

Gonzalez has 20 home runs, tying rookie Joc Pederson for most on the team.

Baez entered the game in the seventh inning with two outs and the bases loaded. He struck out Wilson Ramos to end the threat.

But in the eighth inning, Baez gave up a one-out single to Tyler Moore. Later in the inning, Den Dekker launched one of Baez’s pitches into the second deck behind the right-field wall.

A faulty circuit breaker was responsible for the lighting problems Friday, the Nationals said in a statement.

The Nationals said the faulty circuit breaker was replaced shortly after midnight and that the problematic lights were tested throughout the night.
