The Clippers’ Big Three remained intact despite a few iffy moments this offseason, meaning Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan will have another chance at a deep postseason run.

“Unbelievably happy,” Paul told the Boston Globe at the NBA Players Awards. “[Jordan] is like my big little brother. We talk a lot more than people realize.”

There were rumors that Paul and Jordan had a contentious relationship, but Paul was among the Clippers contingent that went to Jordan’s home in Houston to convince him to re-sign with the Clippers after the center orally committed to go to the Dallas Mavericks earlier this month.

Clippers Coach Doc Rivers said that Jordan and Paul had a heart-to-heart during that meeting, but he said that the chatter around their strained rapport was grossly exaggerated.

“The hatred and all of that was so overblown, it was laughable,” Rivers said, later adding, “That’s not why DJ was considering leaving.”

After Jordan re-signed with the Clippers, where he has spent his entire seven-season career, Paul tried to put the rumors of their discord to rest over Twitter, tweeting out a picture of him and Jordan hugging along with a quote from Edgar Allan Poe: “Believe only half of what you see, and nothing that you hear.”
