KEY MOMENT: On Tuesday, Howie Kendrick drove in the winning run in the 10th inning. On Wednesday, he did it in the first. Kendrick hit a sacrifice fly to score the game’s leadoff batter, Enrique Hernandez, who had tripled. The Dodgers led wire to wire.

ON THE MOUND: The Dodgers’ bullpen had been taxed in the first two games of the series, so Brett Anderson’s performance Wednesday was timely. He lasted seven innings and struck out seven batters. He gave up just one run, on a sixth-inning home run to Aaron Hill, and his earned-run average dipped to 3.00. “I can go to my grave knowing that I got Paul Goldschmidt out twice, which has been an issue for me,” Anderson said. Hill drove in another run in the eighth inning, off Yimi Garcia, with a sacrifice fly. Adam Liberatore retired the final batter in the eighth inning. In the ninth, Kenley Jansen gave up a home run to David Peralta, but held on for his 13th save of the season.

AT THE PLATE: Hernandez hadn’t turned many heads at the plate. He’d had 88 at-bats, sported a .250 average and had driven in eight runs. Then, on Wednesday, he was a home run shy of the cycle. After starting the game with a triple, he doubled in his next at-bat to drive in a run and singled in the seventh inning. He scored two runs. Kendrick drove in two runs and the Dodgers improved to 22-2 when he records an RBI. Third baseman Justin Turner also doubled to cap a three-run third inning by driving in Kendrick.

He lasted five innings and allowed six hits, one run and three walks with one strikeout. … Four Oklahoma City team members were named to the Pacific Coast League All-Star team. Catcher Austin Barnes and second baseman Darnell Sweeney were named starters, and reliever Ryan Butcher and shortstop Corey Seager were named reserves.
