Dolphins select UCLA’s Thomas Duarte with 231st pick in NFL draft
The Miami Dolphins selected UCLA receiver Thomas Duarte with the 10th pick in the seventh round of the NFL draft, 231st overall.
The 6-foot-2, 231-pound Duarte was drafted as a tight end.
Duarte turned pro with a season of eligibility remaining. He ranked second on the Bruins last season with 53 receptions for 872 yards and a team-best 10 touchdown receptions.

Duarte is the seventh Bruins player off the board.
The Buccaneers selected Caleb Benenoch with the 148th pick, the Giants took running back Paul Perkins with the 149th selection, receiver Jordan Payton went 154th to the Cleveland Browns and the Atlanta Falcons chose linebacker Aaron Wallace 222nd.
Defensive lineman Kenny Clark was drafted in the first round by the Packers, and linebacker Myles Jack went in the second round to the Jaguars.
