The Beverly Hills tournament resumed action Wednesday, and the host school had to play a doubleheader because of cancellations due to the wildfires in the area.
Early in the day, the Normans defeated Brentwood 59-50 behind 17 points from Marcel Stevens. Sam Clareman scored 23 points for Brentwood.
But in the evening, City Section title contender Fairfax pulled away for a 62-53 victory. Shawn Booker led a balanced attack with 16 points. Jamal Hartwell had 15, Ethan Anderson 13 and Robert McRae 13.
Long Beach Poly defeated El Camino Real 67-63 despite 29 points from Eddy Egun of El Camino Real. Santa Monica defeated Loyola 61-59. Payton Moore scored 17 points.

In the Corona del Mar tournament, Santa Margarita defeated Mira Costa 82-52. Jake Kyman scored 20 points.
Crespi defeated Wiseburn Da Vinci 92-29. KC Anuloha had 17 points, Colton Hage 16 and Jackson White 13 points and 11 rebounds. St. John Bosco stayed unbeaten with a 74-49 win over Long Beach Jordan. Alpha Okoli finished with 29 points.
Viewpoint defeated Canyon 64-43. Ben Yarovinsky had 13 points.
Crenshaw defeated Manual Arts 71-40 in a Coliseum League game. Dominique Winbush scored 20 points. Dorsey defeated Fremont 91-68. Ali Betts had 27 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists.
Esperanza improved to 6-0 with a 61-54 win over Crean Lutheran.
Heritage Christian defeated Granada Hills 86-79. Noah Fernando scored 21. Luke Alviar had 25 points and Jesse Bannout 21 for Granada Hills.
Damien defeated Duarte 104-37.
Mary Star defeated Shalhavet 72-70. Joseph Octave had 25 points.
Campbell Hall defeated St. Geneveive 75-68, with Mike Meadows scoring 30 points.
Alemany defeated Saugus 82-42. Jack Cartwright scored 17 points in Flintridge Prep’s 65-63 overtime loss to South Pasadena.
