LeBron James, Kyrie Irving attempt water-bottle challenge during Cavaliers’ win over Knicks [Video]

LeBron James may be the guy known for delivering Cleveland its first NBA championship earlier this year, but Kyrie Irving will go down in history as the Cavaliers player who nailed the water-bottle challenge.

And judging by Irving’s reaction after accomplishing the feat, that’s a pretty big deal.

Irving — who also played a huge role in Cleveland’s title run in June — and James apparently were pretty bored on the bench in the final minute of the Cavaliers’ 126-94 win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.

So the two of them started flipping a water bottle in the air to see if they could get it to land upright, just like the cool kids do on the Internet. The basketball game was such a blowout that TNT cut away to show the two superstars engaging in the alternative activity briefly during the broadcast, with one of James’ attempts actually spilling onto the game floor.

But the TV camera had moved away when Irving finally stuck the landing.

"The water bottle is just like -- if you land it, you are just like a legend," Irving joked after the game.
