NBA: Wizards notch 13th win at home in a row with victory over Grizzlies, 104-101

A vastly different team at home, the Wizards won their 13th consecutive game in Washington by edging the Memphis Grizzlies, 104-101, on Wednesday behind two late layups from John Wall, who finished with 25 points and 13 assists.

James Ennis III missed a potential tying three-pointer at the buzzer for Memphis.

The Wizards are just 4-13 on the road but now 18-6 at home, where they’ve compiled their longest winning streak since a 15-game run in the 1988-89 season.

at Golden State 121, Oklahoma City 100: Kevin Durant dazzled again against his old team with a season-best 40 points as the Warriors beat the Thunder despite Russell Westbrook’s 21st triple-double.

In his two games against the Thunder, Durant has scored 79 points on 28-for-50 shooting.

Indiana 106, at Sacramento 100: Paul George scored 24 points and Jeff Teague had 22 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds for the Pacers, while the Kings lost Rudy Gay to a torn left Achilles’ tendon in the third period. Indiana trailed by as many as 22 points in the first half, then outscored Sacramento 65-40 in the final two quarters to win for the seventh time in eight games.

at Charlotte 107, Portland 85: Kemba Walker scored 23 points and Roy Hibbert provided a huge boost off the bench as the Hornets stopped a five-game slide.

Nicolas Batum added 17 points for the Hornets, who limited the Trail Blazers to 35% shooting and snapped an eight-game streak of allowing at least 100 points.

Hibbert, who had been averaging 5.2 points per game, made seven of eight shots and finished with a season-high 16 points.

at Philadelphia 94, Toronto 89: Joel Embiid scored 26 points and Ersan Ilyasova added 18 as the resurgent 76ers won for the seventh time in nine games.

Embiid, who was questionable because of the flu, surpassed 20 points in fewer than 30 minutes in his 10th straight game.

New York 117, at Boston 106: Derrick Rose matched his season high with 30 points as the Knicks won for just the third time in 14 games.

at New Orleans 118, Orlando 98: Anthony Davis had 21 points and 15 rebounds for the Pelicans, who led by as many as 28 points.

at Houston 111, Milwaukee 92: James Harden had 38 points, eight assists and six rebounds for the Rockets, who regained their form after losing three of their last four games.

at Detroit 118, Atlanta 95: All five Pistons starters scored in doubled figures, led by Reggie Jackson with 26 points.
