NFL preview: AFC notes A to Z

Baltimore: Steve Smith Sr. leads the Ravens with 29 catches for 373 yards and two touchdowns. He also has the third-most receiving yards in the league.

Buffalo: Running back LeSean McCoy (hamstring) will not play this week against the Giants. Rookie Karlos Williams will make his first career start.

Cincinnati: Andy Dalton’s quarterback rating (121) is second in the NFL to Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers (135.4). Bengals have won last three against Chiefs.

Cleveland: Browns lineman Joe Thomas has not missed an offensive snap — 8,095 consecutive — since he was drafted in 2007. He’s started 131 games in a row.

Denver: Linebacker DeMarcus Ware is coming off his first defensive-player-of-the- month honor of an 11-year NFL career. Vikings lead in series, 7-6.

Houston: Arian Foster (groin) could be set to make his regular-season debut. Without him, six players have combined to rush for 345 yards and two touchdowns.

Indianapolis: Andrew Luck has been listed as day to day with a shoulder injury. Matt Hasselbeck took most of the snaps in practice this week in case Luck is out.

Jacksonville: Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny leads the NFL with 34 tackles. Allen Robinson is second in NFL in yards per reception (22.7).

Kansas City: The Chiefs’ offensive line has allowed Alex Smith to be sacked a league-high 14 times. Cornerback Sean Smith will return from a three-game suspension.

Miami: The Dolphins have just one sack through three games. Miami has not rushed for a touchdown and has been outscored in the first quarter, 27-3.

New England: The Patriots average 3.7-yards per carry and 87-yards per game primarily between backs Dion Lewis and LeGarrette Blount.

N.Y. Jets: Receiver Brandon Marshall has a touchdown catch in each game. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is tied for second-most interceptions (five).

Oakland: Sebastian Janikowski figures to tie Tim Brown for first on Raiders’ games played list with 240. Amari Cooper leads all rookies with 290 receiving yards.

Pittsburgh: Josh Scobee missed two kicks in the Steelers’ loss to the Ravens, 23-20, in overtime. He has missed four total and an extra-point attempt.
