Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor is known for his scrambling ability, but Bills Coach Rex Ryan is pretty good at it too.

Two years ago, Ryan was the coach of the New York Jets. Rams then-rookie defensive tackle Aaron Donald was named among players selected for the Pro Bowl and Jets tackle Sheldon Richardson was not.

Ryan was not happy.

“That guy can’t hold his jock as a player,” Ryan said at the time.

The Rams play host to the Bills on Sunday at the Coliseum. Donald is a two-time Pro Bowl player who will lead the defensive charge.

“I’ve made a lot of dumb comments in my days,” Ryan said Wednesday during a conference call with reporters. “That’s probably right up there at the top.”

Ryan said he had not seen Donald play as a rookie and that he was repeating the comment of one of his coaches.

“After I’ve seen this kid play, I’m like ‘Whoa boy!” Ryan said, adding, “He’s a great player.”
