Former New York Knicks coach Mike Woodson has reached an agreement to become an assistant coach for the Clippers, The Times has confirmed.

Clippers Coach Doc Rivers, who is also president of basketball operations, also has interest in hiring former Milwaukee Bucks coach Larry Drew and Washington Wizards assistant coach Sam Cassell, said NBA executives who were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.

Rivers has three positions on his bench for assistant coaches.

Tyronn Lue left the Clippers to become the associate head coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Alvin Gentry left to take the same role for Coach Steve Kerr with the Golden State Warriors.

Kevin Eastman left the Clippers’ bench and moved into the front office to become the vice president of basketball operations.
