Caution is what UCLA Coach Jim Mora stressed to his team this week when discussing USC publicly. He certainly has practiced what he preached heading into Saturday’s game.

When asked what Trojans players worry him, he launched into a USC roster checklist, starting with quarterback Cody Kessler and branching out from there.

“Offensively, Cody Kessler is playing just fantastic when you watch him on film. When you look at his numbers, they are fantastic, but his accuracy, his decision making, his poise are outstanding,” Mora started.

“I like both running backs [Javorius “Buck” Allen and Justin Davis], even though Buck is getting more of the work. [Receiver] Nelson Agholor is fantastic, but they also have [George] Farmer and Juju [Smith]. They really they have tremendous amount of weapons.

“Then you watch their offensive line. Even though they are very young, they are playing with a lot of consistency. They roll a lot guys through and sometimes you can’t tell the difference because they are playing at a high level.

“Defensively [Leonard Williams] is a man-child. When he decides he wants to go, he’s pretty much unstoppable. Su’a Cravens is just tremendous play maker. I don’t know if he is a safety or linebacker, whatever he is, he is just a great football player.

“I’m a big Adoree Jackson fan. I love Adoree as football player. He can do everything you ask him to do offensively, defensively and on special teams.

“I don’t want to slight anybody because they have a whole bunch of guys.”

Well, there are those walk-on kids who wave the towels on the USC sideline.
