Linebacker Anthony Sarao is ready for another productive performance

USC linebacker Anthony Sarao made 12 tackles last week against Colorado, tying a career best.

The junior from New Jersey will be active again Saturday night when the No. 20 Trojans play No. 19 Utah at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Utah running back Devontae Booker rushed for 229 yards against Oregon State and is averaging 123.7 yards rushing per game.

Sarao, who also had 12 tackles last season against Stanford, said the 5-foot-11, 203-pound Booker “never goes down on the first tackle.”

USC’s run defense has improved since giving up 452 yards rushing against Boston College.

The Trojans gave up 52 yards rushing against Oregon State, 31 against Arizona State, 77 against Arizona and 170 against Colorado.
