The buzz is apparently growing around former USC receiver Nelson Agholor as the NFL draft approaches.

Agholor was scheduled for a private workout with the Carolina Panthers on Thursday and will also work out for the New England Patriots, the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported.

NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock named Agholor as one of his “top five risers” this week and said he could be a late first-round or top-40 pick.

Agholor, 6 feet and 198 pounds, participated in drills at the NFL scouting combine in February and USC’s pro day last month.

Former USC receivers Robert Woods and Marqise Lee, who were teammates of Agholor’s, were selected in the second round of the 2013 and 2014 drafts, respectively.

The draft begins April 30 in Chicago.
