Su’a Cravens did not look far for a role model.

USC’s All-Pac-12 linebacker grew up watching Troy Polamalu, an All-American safety for the Trojans who appears destined for the Pro Football Hall of Fame after a 12-year career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“That’s who I model my game after,” Cravens said.

Former USC All-American Ronnie Lott was on the Coliseum sideline for USC’s spring game last Saturday, and he drew a comparison between Cravens and Polamalu.

“Great time at the USC game SAT. @ovo_suu [Cravens] was my defensive MVP. Big future on and off the field. The next Troy from Troy?” Lott wrote on Twitter.

Cravens moved from safety to linebacker last season. He said after the scrimmage that he felt “comfortable” at the position.

“I think I am doing a lot better now than I did last year, just knowing the playbook and having a year into it,” he said.
