Baseball: National Classic begins on Monday in Orange County

The National Classic begins its tournament on Monday at El Dorado, Esperanza and Cal State Fullerton. The championship game is Thursday night at Cal State Fullerton.

The tournament is running almost at the same time as the Boras Classic, which begins on Tuesday at JSerra and Mater Dei.

Opening games on Monday: At El Dorado: Palm Desert vs. Cypress, 3:30 p.m.; Roosevelt vs. De La Salle, 12:30 p.m.; Agoura vs. Santa Margarita, 9:30 a.m.; At Esperanza: La Jolla CD vs. Mountain Ridge, 9:30 a.m.; Bishop Amat vs. El Toro, 12:30 p.m.; Elk Grove vs. Gahr, 3:30 p.m.; At Cal State Fullerton: Esperanza vs. Cottonwood, 4 p.m.; Servite vs. El Dorado, 7 p.m.
