Baseball: Roosevelt is 4-0 after 3-0 win over Poly
Watch out for the Roosevelt Rough Riders in City Section baseball.
Wins over Kennedy, Sylmar, Poly and Wilson in the opening two weeks means that Roosevelt has some pretty good players.
On Thursday, Sergio Valenzuela threw a complete game in a 3-0 win over Poly. That comes after Robert Contreras threw a complete game in a 4-1 win over Kennedy.
“I think we’re in a better spot than we’ve been in,” Coach Ray Ruiz said.
Contreras and Jose Jimenez each had two hits against the Parrots.
