Basketball: Nike Extravaganza set for Santa Ana Mater Dei on Friday and Saturday
The Nike Extravaganza will take place Friday and Saturday at Santa Ana Mater Dei. There’s lots of top players and teams.
On Friday, Phoenix Shadow Mountain will play Mater Dei at 8:30 p.m. Shadow Mountain’s coach is Mike Bibby, a former NBA player, and his son, Michael, plays for the team. Other games: Windward vs. JSerra at 4 p.m.; St. John Bosco vs. Village Christian at 5:30 p.m. and Mater Dei’s girls’ team faces Las Vegas Centennial at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, action begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 8:45 p.m. Chino Hills (22-0), ranked No. 1 in the nation, takes on Las Vegas Bishop Gorman at 7:15 p.m.
Fairfax will play Los Alamitos at 2:45 p.m. Mater Dei will face Foothills Christian and UCLA-bound T.J. Leaf at 8:45.
