Besides being an outstanding senior point guard with scholarship offers from UC Irvine, UC Davis and Boston University, among others, Loyola’s Max Hazzard also has been dabbling as a DJ.

He’s going to be one of three DJs running Loyola’s fall dance on Sept. 27.

He calls himself DJ Hazztag. He’ll be bringing his controller, laptop and hard drive filled with his favorite hip-hop songs. But will he be dribbling a basketball while he entertains the dancers?

“I might want to wear my practice jersey,” he said.

It’s no wonder the basketball team practices to good tunes, since Coach Jamal Adams consults with Hazzard on music selections.

So get ready to party with DJ Hazztag, and if there’s a basketball theme, you’ll understand why.
