Tyler Thompson, the 12-year-old son of Alemany baseball Coach Randy Thompson, got to meet and catch passes from New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady on Saturday at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.

“Tyler said, ‘Dad, this is the most amazing day ever,’” Randy Thompson said.

Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Tyler and his family were flown to Boston on Friday, met Brady on Saturday and will watch the Patriots-Bears game on Sunday. He was part of a group of children getting to meet Brady to fulfill a wish.

Tyler has endured 14 chemotherapy treaments while trying to rid himself of a type of bone cancer diagnosed last December.

He appears to be on his way to complete recovery. Scans taken earlier this week were negative.

On meeting Brady, Randy Thompson said, “He’s a great guy.”

Tyler got to show off his hands.

“He caught a couple of passes,” Thompson said. “Didn’t drop them.”

The family received a tour of the stadium and met Brady after a team walk-through.
