As Argentina beats Netherlands at World Cup, Twitter focuses on Germany

Argentina and the Netherlands were deadlocked 0-0 at their World Cup semifinal game during regular time. And extra time. It came down to a shootout, which Argentina won 4-2 -- and which many observers found less than thrilling.

But excitement from the day before, when Germany creamed Brazil 7-1, carried through into the reactions to this match. Some on Twitter paused their yawning long enough to preemptively declare Germany the winner of the championship or at least to look forward to watching Sunday's final.
