Big cats return to the Las Vegas stage when magician Dirk Arthur debuts his new show at Westgate Las Vegas on Monday, Aug. 24.

“Dirk Arthur Wild Magic” brings not only big cat magic, but the Las Vegas pizzazz of dancers and large-scale illusions.

The announcement comes on the heels of former “Three’s Company” actress Suzanne Somers’ confirmation that her show “Suzanne Sizzles” was closing at the resort.

For the past 30 years, Arthur has performed illusions that include making a car float and a helicopter appear on stage. He notes that he was the first magician to dazzle audiences with that trick. Now Arthur makes that helicopter appear over an audience and than vanish.

During his career, he’s worked with animals of all types, including rabbits, doves, emus and ostriches. But his love for big cats brought white, orange and snow white tigers, a bobcat and African and snow leopards to the stage. A portion of his merchandise sales even go to wildlife preservation organizations.
His national television appearances include NBC’s “World Greatest Magic,” “The Late Show with David Letterman” and his own primetime special “Big Cat Magic” on Animal Planet. His show “Wild Illusions” was at the Riviera until it closed in May.

Tickets for this 4 p.m. show start at $50.

Tickets: Westgate Box Office, (800) 222-5361
