Here’s a round-trip fare from LAX to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, that’s less expensive than many fares to Europe.

Eva Air is offering the $777 fare, including all taxes and fees and subject to availability, for travel Mondays-Thursdays between Aug. 26 and the end of May 2016.

You may not stay more than three months.

Phnom Penh can trace its roots to the 1400s, when it was the capital of the Khmer nation. It waxed and waned before coming back in the 1860s. The capital exhibits French influences but was nearly destroyed by the Khmer Rouge starting in the mid 1970s. The Vietnamese dispossessed them from Phonm Penh in 1979. Cambodia is now a constitutional monarchy.
