Rosario Dawson

Best supporting actress for “Seven Pounds”

Since her debut at the age of 15 in the controversial film “Kids” (1995), Rosario Dawson has acted in big-budget blockbusters, low-brow comedies and everything in between, usually rising above the mediocre material she's been given. “Seven Pounds,” starring Will Smith as a suicidal widower who falls in love with a sick woman (Dawson), could be the great opportunity she's been missing.

Age on nomination day: 29

Did you know? During Dawson’s childhood, she and her family were squatters in an abandoned building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
