Best supporting actress for Seven Pounds
Since her debut at the age of 15 in the controversial film Kids (1995), Rosario Dawson has acted in big-budget blockbusters, low-brow comedies and everything in between, usually rising above the mediocre material she's been given. Seven Pounds, starring Will Smith as a suicidal widower who falls in love with a sick woman (Dawson), could be the great opportunity she's been missing.
Age on nomination day: 29
