Kremlin shakeup: In the Aug. 13 Section A, the caption with an article about Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissing his chief of staff, Sergei Ivanov, misidentified the two in a photo. Putin was on the left and Ivanov on the right.

Iraq pastries: An article in the Aug. 14 Section A about breakfast pastries in Iraq incorrectly stated that the cooks use lard, a pork product that is forbidden under Islamic dietary laws. The correct ingredient is ghee, or clarified butter.

“The Americans”: In the Aug. 11 issue of The Envelope, an article bestowing whimsical television awards said the lead characters on the FX series “The Americans” had killed Pastor Tim to the song “Tainted Love.” It was a different character who was killed with that Soft Cell song playing; Pastor Tim was killed only in a dream sequence.
