Big Bear manhunt: In the Feb. 8 LATExtra section, an article about the manhunt for ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner said that Big Bear has roughly 400 homes, and that authorities guessed that only 40% are occupied year-round. In fact, authorities planned to search 400 homes, of which 40% are vacation homes not occupied year-round. Big Bear Lake, where the search is taking place, has about 9,000 homes, according to the 2010 Census.

Bell student photographers: In the Sept. 19, 2011, LATExtra section, an article about a project by Bell High School photography students to document the corruption scandal in their city was accompanied by one of their images, titled “Women Protesters” and credited to Josefina Ortiz. The photo was taken by Mercedes Desales. A Feb. 8 For the Record item omitted the year in the date.

“Walking the Tightrope”: A review of “Walking the Tightrope” in the Feb. 8 Calendar section said that the play closes March 10. It closes March 30.

Sales tax measure: In the Feb. 8 LATExtra section an article about a debate in the San Fernando Valley between candidates in the L.A. mayoral race said that a sales tax increase aimed at balancing the city budget would be on the May general election ballot. It will be on the March 5 primary ballot.

Film festival: An article about the Pan-African Film Festival in the Feb. 7 Calendar section called the film “War Witch” a documentary. It is a narrative feature that has been nominated for an Academy Award for best foreign language film.

Pau Gasol injury: An article in the Feb. 7 Sports section about Pau Gasol said that the Lakers star scored 159 points Tuesday. In fact, Gasol scored 15 points in that game before he was injured.
