Clippers sale: An article in the June 8 Section A about bidding for the Los Angeles Clippers reported that Guggenheim Partners bought the Dodgers for a record $2.15 billion. In fact, the Dodgers are owned by Guggenheim Baseball Management, which is owned by a group that includes Mark Walter and Todd Boehly. Both Walter and Boehly are principals in Guggenheim Partners. They also joined in the bidding for the Clippers as part of a group that was headed by entertainment mogul David Geffen.

Delaware bridge: An article in the June 5 Section A about a highway through Wilmington, Del., being shut down because of a tilting bridge quoted Delaware Transportation Secretary Shailen P. Bhatt as saying the situation “is sort of a DEFCON-5 for a transportation system.” After the story was published, Bhatt said he meant to say the situation deserved DEFCON-1 status, code for the most severe military alert. DEFCON-5 is the least severe military alert, or a normal state of readiness.

Bicycle reviews: An article in the June 7 Saturday section comparing new “gravel grinder” bicycles incorrectly listed the website for Giant Bicycle Inc. as https://www.giant.com. It is https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/.

Sheriff’s Department: An article in the June 7 LATExtra section about the obstruction of justice trial of six Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department officials misspelled the first name of one of the defendants, Maricela Long, as Maricella. The misspelling also occurred in articles Dec. 10, Dec. 17, May 20, May 28 and June 5.

Pacoima Wash: An article in the June 9 LATExtra section about plans for transforming the Pacoima Wash reported that a vision plan for the flood-control channel had been written by a coalition led by an environmental nonprofit called Pacoima Wash. The name of the group is Pacoima Beautiful.

California Chrome: A column in the June 5 Sports section previewing the Belmont Stakes and the Stanley Cup finals said the colors of race horse California Chrome’s silks were purple and orange. The colors are purple and green.
