Dog memoirs: In the July 20 Arts & Books section, a book review of the dog memoirs “Travels with Casey” by Benoit Denizet-Lewis and “Off the Leash” by Matthew Gilbert misidentified John Steinbeck as James Steinbeck and misspelled “Dog Whisperer” Cesar Millan’s last name as Milan.

“The New Arabs”: In the July 20 Arts & Books section, the book review of “The New Arabs” misidentified author Juan Cole as June Cole.

Fela Kuti: In the July 21 Calendar section, a review of Chop & Quench’s performance of Fela Kuti’s music at California Plaza on Friday night said Kuti and his band were deported from the United States. In fact, facing deportation due to lack of proper visas, the band returned to Nigeria.

Skin-care products: An article in the July 20 Image section about skin-care products from the world’s waters listed an incorrect price and website for Organi Deep Wrinkle Remover. The product is $335, not $35, and can be found at https://www.organi.com.au.

Candace Pert: A news obituary in the LATExtra section on Sept. 24, 2013, of neuroscientist Candace Pert reported that among the books she wrote for lay audiences was “Molecules of Emotion: Why You Feel the Way You Feel,” with Deepak Chopra. Chopra wrote only the foreword to the book.
