UCLA: In the Dec. 4 Sports section, a capsule previewing the UCLA men’s basketball game Sunday against San Diego State gave the wrong time for the game. It is at 4 p.m., not 7 p.m.

Kent Haruf: In the Dec. 4 California section, the obituary of novelist Kent Haruf said he taught at the University of Southern Illinois. The school is Southern Illinois University.

Directors: In the Dec. 4 Envelope section, an article about directors discussing key scenes in their films referred to “Nightcrawler” writer-director Dan Gilroy as Tony Gilroy.

Sundance: In the Dec. 4 Calendar section, an article about the Sundance Film Festival said that the festival would run from Jan. 22-Feb. 11. It ends Feb. 1.
