Female superintendents: In the Jan. 13 California section, an article about women who have led Los Angeles’ public school system said that Michelle King, who was named superintendent on Monday, became the second female superintendent and that Susan M. Dorsey was first. In fact, Dorsey was the second and King is the third. The first was C.B. Jones in 1880.
