Baca sentencing: In the June 21 California section, an article about the upcoming sentencing of former L.A. County Sheriff Lee Baca said that defiant comments by him were made during an acceptance speech at a reception where he was given an award. Baca made those comments, which were summarized in a court filing, in an interview he gave to the Jewish Journal after his speech.

Interrogation techniques: In the June 13 Section A, the headline on an article about the FBI learning techniques from an interrogator for Nazi Germany referred to Hanns Scharff as an ex-Nazi. Scharff was drafted into the German army and was not a member of the Nazi Party.
