MOCA Focus: Lisa Lapinski, the Fret and Its Variants. The word “fret” describes Lapinski’s sculptures, which combine the kind of decorative interlaces associated with Middle Eastern fretwork and a sense of discombobulated worry -- what the heck is that thing? -- that the verb “fret” implies.
