Assassinations, openings, debuts, repeals -- 2013 was a year of significant anniversaries in politics, architecture, the arts and more in the U.S. Here in Los Angeles, we marked 100 years since the opening of the Los Angeles Aqueduct, the 50th anniversary of the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, the 25th anniversary of the groundbreaking rap album “Straight Outta Compton” by N.W.A and the 10th anniversary of the opening of Walt Disney Concert Hall downtown.
