Speaking from the Valley

A few dedicated speakers who come to Van Nuys Civic Center each week to speak out on issues affecting the San Fernando Valley are angry that their mics are being cut to save money. There’s usually only one or two, but they like to think they roar mightily. The $46,000 cost of the video feed in Van Nuys and San Pedro is among millions of dollars that the City Council cut in last month’s budget votes. See full story
