Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District School Improvement and Construction Bond, Measure A

WHAT IT WOULD DO: Allow the school district to sell up to $200 million in bonds to update computer technology, renovate buildings, replace heating, build athletic facilities and music hall.

WHO SUPPORTS IT: Mary Weddleof Campaign for Kids 2008; local chamber of commerce president Jim Resha; Julie Nibali of Placentia-Yorba PTA Council and Michael Ebonhoch president of Placentia Chamber of Commerce.

WHAT IT NEEDS TO PASS: 55% of the vote.

Proposed Amendment to the Newport Beach Charter, Measure B

WHAT IT WOULD DO: Allow City Hall and other administrative offices to be built on land on park land between Avocado Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard next to the Newport Beach Central Library.

WHO SUPPORTS IT: Former Sen. Marian Bergeson, Nancy Skinner, William P. Ficker, Jack Croul and Ron Hendrickson

WHO OPPOSES IT: Former Councilwoman Jean Watt, Hugh Logan, Bernie P. Svalstad, and Karen E. Tringali.

WHAT IT NEEDS TO PASS: Simple majority.

WHAT IT WOULD DO: Implement housing developments on the Pacific Golf Course land

WHO SUPPORTS IT: Citizen activists Susan Ritschel , Michael D. Hurlbut, John Tully ,Truman Benedict, Leonard Jensen; Rick Anderson; Cathy Lee and Steven Swartz

WHO OPPOSES IT: Charles Mann of Save San Clemente Open Space; former Councilman Alan Korsen, and community activists Bob Joseph, Gary Hopp, and Bill Hart.

WHAT IT NEEDS TO PASS: Simple majority.

Amendment to the Santa Ana Charter, Measure D

WHAT IT WOULD DO: Allows Santa Ana City Council members to serve three terms instead of two and adopt a Code of Ethics and Conduct.

WHO SUPPORTS IT: Mayor Miguel Pulido; Councilman Sal Tinajero, former Councilwoman Lisa Bist and commissioner Max Madrid.

WHO OPPOSES IT: Councilwoman Michele Martinez; Santa Ana Unified School District Trustee John Palacio; commissioners Tish Leon and Art Pedroza.

WHAT IT NEEDS TO PASS: Simple majority.

WHAT IT WOULD DO: Would make all terms city commission and board terms four years and change limits from two to three terms to coincide with council members. Takes affect oly if Measure D is approved
