Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near Pine Valley, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Saturday afternoon 14 miles from Pine Valley, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 5:36 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 0.6 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 28 miles from Alpine, 29 miles from San Diego Country Estates, 30 miles from Tecate, Mexico, and 245 miles from Phoenix.

In the last 10 days, there have been three earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
