Earthquake: 3.4 quake strikes Bay Area near San Ramon

A shallow, magnitude-3.4 earthquake was reported Wednesday morning in the San Francisco Bay Area one mile from San Ramon, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 9:30 a.m. PST at a depth of 6.2 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was three miles from Danville, five miles from Dublin, five miles from Alamo and 59 miles from Sacramento.

In the past ten days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
