Taipei Zoo

Female baby orangutan Niu-fang, born Oct. 11, 2013, clings to her mother, Xiang-niu, at the Taipei Zoo in Taipei, Taiwan. Niu-fang and her parents are Bornean orangutans (Pongo pygmaeus), an endangered species native to Malaysia and Indoneisia. Orangutan -- a Malay word meaning "person of the forest" -- lives on trees in the rainforest and eats mainly fruits.Taipei Zoo
