Crime alerts for Vermont Vista, Porter Ranch and 9 other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 11 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of Los Angeles Police Department data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Two neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Vermont Vista (A) was the most unusual, recording 12 reports compared with a weekly average of 7.2 over the last three months.

Porter Ranch (C) topped the list of 10 neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 20 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 6.8 over the last three months.
