Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 10 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.
Six neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Canoga Park (A) was the most unusual, recording six reports compared with a weekly average of 3.4 over the last three months.
Bel-Air (G) topped the list of four neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded six property crimes compared with its weekly average of 1.5 over the last three months.
Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for April 20–April 26, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
