Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near Yucaipa, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Friday morning 3 miles from Yucaipa, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 11:08 a.m. PST at a depth of 9.3 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 8 miles from Beaumont, Calif., 9 miles from Banning, Calif., and 11 miles from Redlands, Calif.

In the last 10 days, there have been three earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
