Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near Anza, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Tuesday afternoon three miles from Anza, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 4:34 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 7.5 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 14 miles from Valle Vista, Calif., 16 miles from East Hemet, Calif. and 17 miles from Hemet, Calif.

In the past 10 days, there have been 11 earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
