Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near Calipatria, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Tuesday morning eight miles from Calipatria, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 5:31 a.m. PDT at a depth of 0.6 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 13 miles from Brawley, Calif., 21 miles from Imperial, Calif., and 25 miles from El Centro, Calif.

In the last 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
